Floriography is the proper name for 'the language of flowers'. I usually just enjoy flowers for their beauty and do not worry too much about hidden meanings
Someone just dropped round to give me a lovely bunch of yellow roses as a thankyou for something I'd done.
Just for once, I looked it up - and yellow roses mean "Joy and Friendship" - which is exactly what this person brings into my life.
[By the way, my research shows me that spider chrysanthemums mean 'can we elope?' and a green rose means 'I am from Mars' - so take care if these come your way!]
